March in March - 16th March in Hobart

Post date: Mar 28, 2014 3:58:08 AM

Peaceful, non-partisan citizens’ marches and rallies were held across Australia to protest against the current Federal government’s policy decisions that are against the common good of our nation. This signifies the people’s vote of no confidence in policies of the government that go against common principles of humanity, decency, fairness social justice and equity, democratic governance, responsible global citizenship and conserving our natural heritage, including their lack of effective response to the growing threat & consequences of climate change.

In Hobart, meet at 11:30am at either the Cenotaph, at Princes Park in Battery Point or on the corner of Elizabeth & Warwick Sts (opposite the College), for a walk along the footpath to Parliament House lawns for a rally at 12 noon. Climate Action Hobart will be at all three walks.
