Thriving Tasmania: emerging stronger : free online forum

Tasmanian Way, a local group that is working on a response to the UN 2030 Sustainable Development Goals for Tasmania has organised this forum to guide how Tasmanian's can emerge from Covid19 and thrive in a stronger sustainable way.

Zali Steggall Climate Change Bill & Petition

Zali Steggall, along with her fellow crossbenchers Rebekah Sharkie, Helen Haines and Andrew Wilkie, released a climate change national framework for adaption and mitigation bill for consultation. Due to CoVID19 response the bill's introduction to the parliament has been postponed to a time not yet set.

Please share the petition and now is the time to write to your politicians stating you expect them to work together and support much stronger action on climate change and reducing our greenhouse gas emissions.

Safe Climate Declaration (an invitation to sign)

The National Climate Emergency Summit held in Melbourne in February 2020 explored how to shape Australia's Climate Emergency Transition. The summit brought together practioners, advocates, governments, youth leaders and industry innovators from across the country to hear, workshop and debate the political, economic, technical and social change dimensions of initiating and delivering climate emergence responses in Australia.

The Summit closed with the preparation of a declaration - Call To Action For Australia - which you are all invited to sign.

Declare a climate emergency petition to the Clarence City Council.
