Duty of Care Bill Submissions Due 23rd November

 Parents for Climate Action have made it easy for you to make a submission to the Duty of Care Bill that will be debated in parliament. Add your support by following their guide below. The proposed law could prevent politicians from making decisions where the resulting greenhouse gas emissions are likely to pose a material risk of harm to the health and well-being of current and future Australian children. They need to hear from Australians who support this proposed law. Click here:

Calling for Submissions to the Draft 'Developing an Emissions Reduction and Resilience Plan for Tasmania's transport sector'

The Tasmanian Government has developed a draft plan for 'Developing an Emissions Reduction and Resilience Plan for Tasmania's Transport Sector' and is seeking feedback. End of Year Picnic Saturday 2nd December

Instead of our monthly Zoom meeting in December we will have a Climate Action Hobart end-of-year picnic at Nutgrove park in Sandy Bay at 2pm on Saturday 2nd December, to relax, share some cake and a cuppa and look back on the year (and talk about anything else we need to). Move Beyond Coal Action Thursday 7th December

Join us at a Move Beyond Coal action at lunchtime (12:30-1:30pm) on Thursday the 7th of December on the corner of Murray and Macquarie Streets in Hobart.

As we head into another scary summer, make the time to stand up and show community support for stronger climate action. Help us hold up banners and placards calling on the Labor government to stop approving new coal and gas projects and to take emergency climate action instead. We'll also be asking passers-by to sign Turn up the Heat Pledges and encourage cars to honk and make noise in support of climate action. 

We’re one of a bunch of actions happening across the country as part of the national Turn Up the Heat on Labor Week of Action!
