posted Feb 27, 2014, 7:50 PM by Climate Action Hobart

Was held on Sat 22nd June at Bellerive Uniting Church, Bellerive

  • Keynote Address “The Angry Summers of our Future” by Professor Will Steffen of Australian National University, The Climate Commission,
  • Strategies for Action: Limiting the damage - The vital role of activism (Susan Austin)
  • Life-sustaining systems and practices (Phil Harrington)
  • Changing our hearts, changing our communities, being the change (Margaret Steadman)

Every year brings fresh evidence of the increasing pace and severity of climate change. Yet we continue to witness the failings of policy, leadership, and communities to confront this challenge with honesty and integrity. And so, the burden of our work has been made heavier with despair. Let’s reclaim our hope!
