Protect Carbon-Rich Ecosystems.

Protecting native forests and planting trees in cleared areas provides a long-term method of storing carbon which is essential to dealing with this issue and currently provides Tasmania with an emissions rating which is close to carbon-neutral. Native grasslands and estuarine vegetation such as mangroves also make significant contributions. Of course the capacity for this will vary with climate and available land, but significant carbon capture could be achieved.

How will you encourage carbon storage through natural vegetation?
